Where did the merchant go? - Guild Wars Forums

Last week the graphics card in my laptop decided it didn't want to work any more, and I've only just received my replacement computer, allowing me to get back into the game. I started back with a trip to Tomb of the primeval kings......whose bright idea was it to remove the merchant from the outpost? Also, why is there a priest of Balthazar that doesn't talk, and a sigil trader? When I'm done with a trip to tombs, I want to be able to sell my stuff to the merchant, not spend balthazar faction or contemplate changing my guild hall. Now I have to jump to a different outpost to sell stuff.....seems like a silly change to me.

One of the most recent updates moved some services (mostly storage) and even added some in certain towns. Like Lion's Arch has 2 storage areas now, and they removed the Xunlai agents mostly, there are just the chests and the agent that is left is for the storage upgrades. So check around the town to see if the Merchant was moved.

he's nowhere to be found though.. unless me and my entire alliance is blind? we couldn't find him there either. had to buy keys in toa >_>

While it is odd to enter a town that you thought you had memorized and find it has changed, I wouldn't worry too much about it... It's not like you pay for map-jumping in GW.

Although I don't know why they removed the merchant from TotPK, you don't have to go any farther than Dragon's Lair to get to one.

I don't know why they removed the merch from ToPK, Idiocy if it was intentional.. If not, then they should fix it asap. Was personally waiting for someone to bring this up on the fourms, It's just so inconvenient because so many people farm there and need to sell loot and grab lockpicks before they go in and stuff.

No kidding, when ArenaNet does update notes, they should give us the full notes, not the incomplete ones we've been recieving for a long time now .. If they move something, they should state it.

But the good news is that they've been consistantly bad at this.

Right now. Kaineng is missing it's Sigil Trader, it is no longer in the city and cannot be found ....

Yep the merchant has been missing form ToPK's since the update on 6-15-07.

he decided to take a hiatus cause of all the scary stuff he had to deal with in tombs..... im not talking about the tombs just the non-stop b/p groups its scary how no one can come up with another team O.o lol

but yea its just kinda annoying not having him there, "hey guys i need to sell so im gunna take us over to dragons" "ok" *1 miniute loading 2 minutes selling 15 minutes waiting for slow loaders* "ok were heading back" *same as going in*
